Music From Africa

MUSIC FROM AFRICA is a large-scale concert project dedicated to showcasing the richness, depth, and diversity of African art music through piano, organ, choral, and orchestral performance. The concert will present African classical works with the same artistic seriousness and production standard associated with the Western canon.

This project is not simply a concert; it is a cultural and artistic initiative designed to elevate African composers, educate audiences, and establish a sustained platform for underrepresented repertoire within the global classical music space.

The Music From Africa Initiative, founded and directed by Dieko Obi Ifediora, celebrates the richness of African art music, from beloved classical compositions to contemporary works rooted in African heritage.
